2017 – 2023 Tesla Model 3 Adjustable Front and Rear Sway Bar Set

A sway bar ties the left and right wheels together through a torsion spring, so when the body leans in a corner the bar resists that roll and keeps the tire contact patch flatter on the road. Less roll means quicker response to steering and more consistent grip. Our front bar is 31.8mm versus the factory 29mm, with rates from 740 to 1075 lbs/in against the stock 650. Body roll drops immediately after installation. The rear is the big jump. Tesla’s standard rear bar is 16mm, or 19.6mm on the Performance, rated around 40 lbs/in. Our 22.2mm rear bar runs 114, 130, or 150 lbs/in across its three positions. Up front, the 31.8mm bar offers 740, 890, and 1075 lbs/in versus 650 stock. The Race and Competition versions exceed 25mm in the rear with substantially higher unpublished rates.

Yes, with one extra step. Standard Range and SR+ cars left the factory without a rear sway bar, so installing our rear bar requires either the UP adjustable sway bar end link set or Tesla OEM end links, part numbers 1044491-00-E and 1044496-00-E. The front bar bolts on normally. Long Range and Performance cars need no additional parts.

No, this set covers 2017-2023 cars. For the Highland refresh we build a separate application, the 2024+ Model 3 adjustable sway bar set, developed on the same program with three adjustment points per bar. If your Model 3 was built before the 2024 changeover, you are on the right page.

This is one of the simpler bolt-on suspension jobs because the struts and springs stay untouched. Each bar has three end link mounting positions, so you pick a stiffness setting during installation, and settings can be changed after installation. Upgraded polyurethane bushings come included. Sway bars first if body roll and turn-in are your complaints, springs first if stance and center of gravity matter more to you. Bars change roll stiffness only, so daily ride quality stays essentially stock. Springs lower and firm the car everywhere. Firm is future-proofed for cars running slicks and high-downforce aero, so most street cars should not start there. Soft and medium settings suit daily driven cars, and because a sway bar only loads up during body roll, straight-line comfort over bumps barely changes at any setting. Start soft and drive it for a week before experimenting. Adjustment is quick.

This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.

Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.
