Why Ditch The Fancy Tesla Active Suspension?
The new 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance features a new Adaptive Damping system allowing for variable damper-valve tuning based on driver preference and car settings. While this optimizes ride quality and handling for the average driver, we desire fine-tuning capability and customization enabled by purpose-built coilovers, and we know many other drivers do too.
So we’ve developed this canceller kit to work with UP coilovers as well as all brands of coilovers and aftermarket shocks, and they’ll even work with 3rd-party air suspension systems.
Easy Plug-and-Play Installation
The OEM wiring harness has a plug that connects directly to the OEM shock at each corner, so we’ve created this kit to utilize the factory Tesla harness. That means these modules are easy to plug right into the OEM connectors and come with zip-ties for mounting the integrated attachment points to specific existing locations in the car’s chassis.
This also means that, because no modification or custom wiring is necessary, it is fully reversible and can be removed just as easily. Perfect for anyone leasing their Model 3 Performance.
The modules are front-rear specific and stamped accordingly to, along with integrated attachment points, mitigate any confusion on how or where to mount them.
Track Tested, Track Proven
These were developed for track-goers and racing. As such, we’ve thoroughly tested the functionality and durability of the UP Adaptive Suspension Canceller Kit at various racetracks, including Buttonwillow Raceway Park and Laguna Seca where it saw ambient air temperatures ranging from 50°F to 118°F. It’s also gone through thorough street testing including thousands of miles of various road conditions to validate the durability of the casings, mounting and connection points to ensure they can withstand high rates of dynamic fluctuations and high-speed, high-G cornering.
Built to Last
The Adaptive Suspension Canceller Kit is built to exceed the lifetime of your vehicle, both from a software and hardware standpoint. Meaning, even if Tesla’s control circuitry is reprogrammed in future software updates, this module remains undetectable, ensuring that your vehicle’s functionality is unchanged.
The lightweight EMI (electro-magnetic interference) casing was designed with mechanical, chemical, and electrical performance in mind. The casing is designed so that no other sources of EMI can interfere with performance, even when mounted to the grounded chassis! The material of the case is chemically inert to ensure environmental hazards like road-salt, car wash or even strong solvents/cleaners cannot penetrate and cause failure. Finally, the placements of the cancellers ensure a wide variety of wheel sizes and non-OEM suspension components fit without issue!
Additionally, the weatherproof design makes it capable of handling all-weather conditions like the scorching 118°F summers we tested this on.
Lifetime Warranty
We know our customers utilize their Model 3 Performance vehicles with purpose, and they should with peace and mind. Especially at the race track where their cars see the most abuse.
We built this kit to last the lifetime of your vehicle. So we are offering a lifetime, unlimited-mileage warranty on the UP Adaptive Suspension Canceller Kit allowing for use on racetracks.

Why does the 2024 Model 3 Performance throw errors with aftermarket coilovers?
The 2024+ Model 3 Performance ships with adaptive dampers that the car’s control system constantly monitors. Unplug them for a passive coilover and the vehicle detects missing hardware, triggering error codes and potentially limiting speed. The UP Adaptive Suspension Canceller Kit solves this by electronically simulating the factory dampers at each corner, so the car believes its original suspension is present and behaves completely normally.
What is an adaptive suspension canceller kit?
It is a set of four plug-in modules that mimic the electronic signature of the factory adaptive dampers on the 2024+ Model 3 Performance. With the modules connected, the car sees valid damper hardware: no error codes, no speed limiters, and a fully functioning Track Mode. Guaranteed. The kit includes four modules with integrated mounting points, six mounting zip ties, and two clips.
Do I need this kit on a 2024 Model 3 Long Range or RWD?
No. Only the 2024+ Model 3 Performance uses factory adaptive dampers, so only that trim needs the canceller when switching to coilovers. Non-Performance 2024+ cars and all 2017-2023 Model 3s swap suspension without any electronic workaround. On the Performance trim it is required with UP coilovers such as the Sport Pro kit and the Dirt and Snow Pro lift kit.
Does it work with coilovers from other brands or with air suspension?
Yes. The kit works with all brands of coilovers and aftermarket shocks, and it supports third-party air suspension systems as well. It simulates the factory dampers at the harness level, so it does not care what physical suspension you bolt on. The modules are front and rear specific and stamped accordingly, so there is no guesswork about placement.
Will Track Mode still work after installing coilovers with this kit?
Yes. Fully functioning Track Mode is guaranteed with the canceller installed, along with a clean dash and no speed restrictions. That guarantee is the reason the kit exists. We developed it for track use first, validating it at Buttonwillow Raceway Park and Laguna Seca in ambient temperatures from 50 to 118 degrees Fahrenheit before release. Our Stage 3 RS package instructs 2024+ Model 3 Performance buyers to include the canceller when installing coilovers.
Is the canceller kit plug and play, or does it need wiring work?
Plug and play. The factory harness has a connector at each corner that normally plugs into the OEM shock, and the canceller modules plug directly into those connectors instead. There is no cutting and no custom wiring. Included zip ties mount each module to specific chassis locations, and the front and rear modules are stamped so they cannot be mixed up.
How is this better than hardwiring a workaround into the harness?
A connector-level module is fully reversible. Unplug the modules, reconnect the factory dampers, and the car returns to stock with no evidence of modification, which matters for leased cars and resale. Spliced workarounds also risk failure from vibration and moisture exposure. The canceller’s sealed EMI casing is chemically inert and weatherproof, validated through thousands of street and track miles.
I lease my Model 3 Performance. Can I go back to stock later?
Yes, easily. Because the kit uses the factory connectors and zip-tie mounting, removal takes minutes and leaves no trace on the harness. Reinstall the OEM adaptive dampers, unplug the modules, and the car is factory-original for lease return. We designed for this scenario specifically. Keep your stock suspension stacked in the garage until that day comes.
Will a Tesla software update break the canceller kit?
The kit was built to outlast the vehicle on both hardware and software. Even if Tesla reprograms its control circuitry in a future update, the module remains undetectable and vehicle behavior stays unchanged. The casing blocks electromagnetic interference even when mounted to the grounded chassis, and the material shrugs off road salt and harsh cleaners.
What warranty comes with the Adaptive Suspension Canceller Kit?
A lifetime, unlimited-mileage warranty that explicitly includes racetrack use, valid for the original purchaser and non-transferable. That is unusual coverage for an electronics product, and it is intentional: we know these cars get driven with purpose. If a module ever fails under that coverage, we replace it. Will upgrading my brakes void the Tesla warranty?
Tesla’s warranty covers factory-installed parts, but it does not automatically void your warranty if you install aftermarket components like Unplugged Performance brake kits. Under U.S. law (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), Tesla must prove that an aftermarket part caused a failure in order to deny warranty coverage. Our parts are engineered to work harmoniously with Tesla OEM Brake systems and can be professionally installed by Unplugged Performance in Hawthorne, CA or by an authorized installer to minimize risk. That said, any damage directly caused by misuse or improper installation may not be covered. We recommend retaining all factory parts so you can revert to stock if needed. Many Tesla owners enjoy peace of mind by using Unplugged Performance products, which are extensively tested and installed by certified professionals. If warranty concerns are top-of-mind, our team can help clarify compatibility and installation best practices to ensure a worry-free experience.
What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.Â
