The Unplugged Performance INVINCIBLE® HD Rear Bumper System is a robust and durable solution, designed to withstand rugged conditions. This system replaces the standard plastic rear bumper and rear trailer hitch receiver with more resilient Unplugged Performance INVINCIBLE® steel parts. Included in this system are the Hardcore Trailer Hitch Receiver and rear-mounted LED Flood Lights. It offers modular flexibility, allowing for optional features to be included in the initial purchase, or added later. The modular UP INVINCIBLE® HD Rear Bumper is easy to install, attaching directly to the chassis, and can be reverted back to the original factory specifications if needed.

The INVINCIBLE® HD Rear Bumper is made from high-strength steel for extreme durability, includes integrated Hi-Lift jack points, two recovery points, and improves departure angle. It’s designed from the ground up to make your Cybertruck bumper as tough and multi-functional as the rest of the truck. Every Base bumper has provisions to accept the factory bluetooth module and to accept towing electronics hookups, as well as supporting a huge amount of weight for any purpose. The UP INVINCIBLE® HD Rear Bumper is designed with additional features in mind, such as the included Rear-Mounted LED Flood Lights and Hardcore Trailer Hitch Receiver, as well as optional swing arms with MOLLE panels, rear rock sliders, and Spare Tire Carrier. Accessory options can be included in the initial purchase or added at a later date. 

The UP Hardcore Trailer Hitch Receiver is integral to the robustness of the bumper itself, it has increased strength across the width of the heavy-duty steel bumper, allowing for hardcore features such as the integrated Hi-Lift jack points. With the steel UP INVINCIBLE® HD Rear Bumper, you can now lift an entire Cybertruck up from the rear bumper, a feat just not possible with the factory plastic bumper and trailer hitch. 

The UP Rear-Mounted LED Flood Lights are integrated into the rear bumper. The two integrated lights, one on each side of the bumper offer strong and flexible flood lighting and fog lighting functionalities. These lights offer maximum visibility to the rear three-quarter of the truck for camping, towing, reversing, convoying in adverse weather, and to keep would-be tailgaters at bay.

Optional Equipment:

The optional equipment below can be included in the initial purchase or added later. 

The UP INVINCIBLE® HD Rear Rock Slider Set features modular sliders constructed of high-strength steel and can help your truck be safely pushed away from boulders, cliff sides, and other obstacles without damaging the truck body and lighting. These sliders also function as helpful bed steps, allowing easier access to the bed. The sliders can be easily replaced if damaged, without replacing the entire bumper assembly.

The UP INVINCIBLE® HD Dual Swing Arms add additional storage capability with integrated MOLLE panels. The swing arms mount toward the outside of the bumper and allow for more versatility when mounting accessories. The specific shape of the swing arms are designed to optimize rearview camera visibility, while maximizing surface area of the MOLLE panels to bolt-on whatever gear your journey requires. The high strength of the steel swing arms also enable the use of an optional spare wheel carrier. Swing arms are specific to the right side and left side of the bumper, and can be purchased individually and added to the bumper system at a later date. 

The UP MOLLE Spare Tire Carrier is designed to mount to one of the available Swing Arms (your preference) and allows for the addition of a spare wheel and tire for your Cybertruck. This option requires the selection of rear Swing Arms with MOLLE panels, though only one is required and it can be installed on the right or left side. Note: addition of a rear spare tire via the Spare Tire Carrier may obstruct visibility of the rearview camera. 

Materials:

Our off-road parts are crafted from a combination of materials, each carefully selected to leverage its unique strengths and benefits. They are primarily made of A36 steel, trusted for its exceptional strength and toughness. Engineered to handle the most rugged terrain, it provides reliable protection against impacts while keeping weight optimized for performance and efficiency. With excellent weldability, A36 steel also allows for easy repairs, ensuring durability and longevity in every adventure.

Material thicknesses:

We have dedicated extensive effort to optimizing the structure of our Cybertruck off-road metal parts. By utilizing steel ranging all the way from 1/4 inch to 1/16 inch, we strike a balance between strength and weight. Internal reinforcement structures are built with thick 1/4-inch steel, while exposed steel sections use just over 1/8-inch (gauge 10) steel for maximum durability. Aesthetic elements that don’t support loads are made with thicknesses down to 1/16-inch steel (gauge 16), minimizing weight, which is critical for maintaining range. Other thicknesses included are gauge 14, 3/16″ and 3/8”, showcasing the wide range of material thicknesses.

The chassis anchoring systems uses even thicker machined components, up to 1/2 inch, ensuring an exceptionally secure attachment point and eliminating any weak points.

Finish:

To protect and enhance our parts, we use a thick black powder coating, offering superior resistance to rust, scratches, and corrosion. This durable finish ensures your parts are rugged and sleek in appearance.

Does the UP INVINCIBLE® HD Rear Bumper Affect Tesla Cybertruck Range?

One of the most common questions we receive is whether adding an aftermarket steel bumper to the Tesla Cybertruck will negatively impact driving range. While Unplugged Performance has not conducted independent range testing and cannot make specific range guarantees, we can share what we’ve observed from our community of INVINCIBLE® owners.

To date, customers who have installed the UP INVINCIBLE® HD Front and Rear Bumpers have not reported a noticeable impact on their Cybertruck’s driving range. This is consistent with what we’d expect. The Tesla Cybertruck has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of over 8,000 lbs. In the context of a vehicle that size, the additional weight of a steel bumper represents a very small percentage of the overall vehicle mass and is unlikely to be a meaningful factor in day-to-day range.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the Cybertruck is built to work hard. Owners who choose the INVINCIBLE® HD Rear Bumper are prioritizing real-world durability, chassis-mounted strength, integrated recovery points, and heavy-duty towing capability — the kind of upgrades that make the truck more capable for the way it’s actually used.
