Tesla Model S 19-Inch UP-RW FF Wheel and Winter Tire Package
-
Winter costs a Model S more range than it costs almost any other Tesla, because a long-distance car spends its winter miles at highway speed in dense, cold air where aerodynamic drag is highest. The UP-RW FF 19-Inch Wheel and Winter Tire Package is engineered against exactly that. Its aero-optimized disc measured within 0.010 Cd of Tesla’s lowest-drag production wheel, and flow-formed construction gives it a barrel that is lighter and far more impact resistant than a conventional cast wheel, with a load rating suitable for the Model X. The 255/45R19 winter tire adds real sidewall over a factory 21-inch setup.
- Fits Tesla Model S including Plaid, with 2012-2020 and 2021+ TPMS options
- Complete package with wheels, winter tires, TPMS
- Aero-optimized design helps protect highway range in cold air
- Replaceable curb guard rings help protect your investment

The Long-Distance Car Has the Most to Lose in Winter
The Model S is the car people buy to drive far. That is the point of it. Which makes winter range loss more consequential on a Model S than on any other Tesla, because the loss is largest at exactly the speeds a Model S spends its life at.
Three effects stack in winter. Battery chemistry works less efficiently in the cold. Cabin heating draws continuous power. And cold air is denser than warm air, which means aerodynamic drag at a given speed is genuinely higher in January than in July. That third effect scales with speed, so it hits hardest on the highway, which is precisely where a Model S does its work.
The UP-RW FF 19-Inch Wheel and Winter Tire Package attacks the one of those three that a wheel can actually influence.
Aero Efficiency Where the Model S Needs It
The UP-RW FF carries the aero-focused disc profile of the Road Warrior family, rooted in the same design philosophy that made its forged predecessor so compelling.
CFD validation put the UP-RW within 0.010 Cd of Tesla’s lowest-drag production wheel, the 18-inch Photon Aero Covered wheel. Very few wheels ever developed for a Tesla have measured that close.
On a Model S covering winter highway miles, that efficiency is not an abstraction. It is working against denser air on every one of those miles, at the time of year when the range readout is already giving you bad news. Most winter wheel choices cost you efficiency. This one defends it.
Fits Model S Including Plaid, With Correct TPMS for Your Year
This package is available with 2012-2020 TPMS or 2021+ TPMS so the sensors match your car’s system and pair without trouble. Specify the version for your model year at checkout.
The 19×8.5 +30 fitment with a 255/45R19 winter tire keeps overall diameter close to the factory 19-inch setup, so speedometer, odometer, and range estimation remain accurate through the season.
If your Model S wears 21-inch wheels, the move to this package adds substantial sidewall. That extra rubber absorbs the impacts winter pavement delivers, protecting the wheel and making the ride considerably more civilized on roads that deteriorate from December onward and get repaired in May.
Flow-Formed Strength, With a Model X Load Rating
Flow-forming begins with a cast blank. The barrel is then spun at high speed while rollers stretch and compress the aluminum over a mandrel, aligning the grain structure in the part of the wheel that absorbs impact.
The result is a barrel meaningfully lighter and far more impact-resistant than a conventional cast wheel. These wheels carry a load rating suitable for the Model X, Tesla’s heaviest passenger vehicle, which on a Model S represents a healthy margin over what the car actually asks of them.
That margin is the point on a winter set. Winter driving is unpredictable loading. A pothole hidden under slush. A frost heave you did not see. A curb buried in a plowed bank. Excess capacity is what turns those events into nothing.
Behind the construction sits a lifetime structural warranty for the original owner. If you crack a wheel, we replace it.
Curb Guards for the Season That Hides Curbs
Replaceable curb guard rings are available for the UP-RW FF, and winter is when they justify themselves. Snowbanks conceal curbs entirely. Parking spaces shrink as banks build up. Street parking margins vanish. Contact stops being avoidable and becomes a matter of timing.
With a curb guard, that contact costs you a ring. Without one, it costs you a refinish or a permanent mark on a wheel you paid real money for.
Tire Options for the UP-RW FF 19-Inch Wheel and Winter Tire Package
All three tires come in 255/45R19. Every package includes four UP-RW FF wheels, four tires, four TPMS sensors, and mount and balance labor.
Vredestein Wintrac Pro Wheel and Winter Tire Package
Includes:
- 4 UP-RW FF 19×8.5 +30 flow-formed wheels
- 4 Vredestein Wintrac Pro winter tires in 255/45R19
- 4 TPMS sensors matched to your model year
- Mount and balance labor
Best for:Â Model S owners who cover long winter distances at highway speed on roads that are mostly cleared. The Wintrac Pro is an ultra-high-performance winter tire rated for speeds up to 300 km/h, which is unusual in the category and tells you what it was designed for. It maintains dry grip, wet braking, and high-speed stability well beyond typical winter tire behavior while still handling snow properly. For a car that does serious winter mileage, this composure is the right priority.
Michelin X-Ice Snow Wheel and Winter Tire Package
Includes:
- 4 UP-RW FF 19×8.5 +30 flow-formed wheels
- 4 Michelin X-Ice Snow winter tires in 255/45R19
- 4 TPMS sensors matched to your model year
- Mount and balance labor
Best for:Â Model S owners in genuinely severe winter climates with ice, packed snow, and extended cold. The X-Ice Snow is a studless ice and snow specialist built around a full silica compound that stays flexible in severe cold, with a rigid polymer inclusion in the tread for additional grip. Michelin cites ice braking up to 2.7 meters shorter than a leading competitor. On a car of this weight, that is the number that matters when the surface turns.
Pirelli P Zero Winter Wheel and Winter Tire Package
Includes:
- 4 UP-RW FF 19×8.5 +30 flow-formed wheels
- 4 Pirelli P Zero Winter tires in 255/45R19
- 4 TPMS sensors matched to your model year
- Mount and balance labor
Best for: Model S owners who want winter capability without giving up the way the car steers. The P Zero Winter is Pirelli’s performance winter tire, and it shows its parentage: an asymmetric tread pattern taken from the ultra-high-performance P Zero line, with crossed grooves and zig-zag elements cut into it to catch and hold snow, and longitudinal grooves sized for water expulsion and dry braking. It carries a 104 XL load rating with a V speed rating and 3PMSF severe snow certification. What that combination buys you is response. The tire reacts to steering input the way a performance tire does rather than the way a winter tire usually does, holds its shape through quick direction changes, and stays composed on cold dry pavement — which, for most owners, is the surface the car actually spends the majority of the winter on, in between the days that justify the tire. On a Plaid in particular, that composure is worth having underneath the power. It is also the same tire family Tesla specifies for the factory Model S 19-inch winter setup, in the same 255/45R19 section width.
The Sensible Way to Winterize a Model S
Forged wheels are wonderful and expensive, and committing a set of them to five months of salt duty is a decision plenty of owners hesitate over. The UP-RW FF exists for that hesitation. It delivers the Road Warrior’s aero shape and structural philosophy at a price that makes a dedicated winter set genuinely practical.
You stop paying to swap tires twice a year. Your 21-inch summer wheels stay out of the brine. Both sets of tires last longer because neither is being run outside its designed temperature range. And your Model S spends winter on wheels engineered to protect the range that made you buy it in the first place.

Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.Â
What are the shipping options and times?
Unplugged Performance processes orders quickly, typically within 1–2 business days after placement. For U.S. customers, orders under $50 usually ship via FedEx SmartPost with an estimated delivery time of 2–7 business days. Larger items like body kits or bumpers may ship via freight carriers with curbside delivery; customers will be contacted to schedule a delivery window. International shipping is available to most countries, with shipping costs calculated at checkout. Delivery times abroad vary, generally ranging from 5 to 16 business days depending on destination. Import duties or taxes are the customer’s responsibility. To ensure a smooth shipping experience, provide accurate contact information during checkout. For specific questions or shipping quotes, Unplugged Performance’s support team is available to assist.
