Upgrade your Tesla Model 3 with Carbon Fiber Aero Mirror Covers by Unplugged Performance, engineered for both style and aerodynamic function. Designed with an OEM+ philosophy, these precision-molded covers feature a subtle style line that mirrors the factory mirror design, offering a refined, OEM+ appearance.
Unlike typical aftermarket options, these mirror covers provide full-wrap coverage, completely concealing the OEM paint for a seamless carbon fiber finish. Choose from Gloss or Satin to perfectly complement your 2024+ Model 3’s aesthetic.
Built with aerospace-inspired vortex generators on the inner edge, these covers minimize turbulence by improving airflow attachment, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency and reducing drag. This attention to detail reflects Unplugged Performance’s commitment to functional design, not just aesthetics.

Carbon parts are engineered using advanced prepreg-autoclave technology with our proprietary dry-carbon-kevlar backing layer. This superior method, with resin integrated during production, delivers exceptional strength-to-weight performance compared to traditional wet-layup or vacuum infusion methods.
Finish Options
- Gloss Base Coat: Showcases the carbon weave pattern with a glossy finish
- Satin Base Coat: Offers a refined, contemporary aesthetic
Base Coat Information
Our parts feature a base coat finish that displays the carbon fiber weave. These finishes serve as a foundation and can be enhanced through professional clear coating or protection film services at your local automotive facility. As these are base coat finishes, warranty coverage excludes all cosmetic outcomes including UV-related fading, discoloration, scratches, rock chips, and finish degradation.
Warranty Coverage
- 5-year structural warranty on fitment and functionality for the original owner.
- Base coat finishes are provided as-is as a no-cost time-saver to prepare the parts for recommended clearcoat or paint protection.

Gloss or satin for the mirror caps?
Gloss base coat brings out the carbon weave with a glossy finish, while satin base coat gives a refined, contemporary look. Both are full-wrap and both use the same construction. Owners often match the caps to other carbon pieces on the car. Choose the finish that lines up with the rest of your build.
Do these match the rest of the UP carbon aero lineup?
They do. The mirror caps are one of the pieces in our 2024+ Model 3 carbon program, so they coordinate with parts like the carbon fiber side skirts and the high-efficiency rear spoiler. They are also the smallest, lowest-cost way into the carbon theme at $395. Start with the mirrors, then build out. The finishes are designed to match across the range.
Why choose carbon caps over a color-matched painted set?
Carbon adds visual texture and a motorsport cue that paint cannot replicate, and the vortex generators give these a small functional edge a painted cap does not have. The full-wrap fit conceals the factory paint completely for a clean finish. Paint blends in; carbon stands out on purpose. If the goal is a subtle performance look, carbon is the point.
Do carbon mirror caps do anything aerodynamically, or are they cosmetic?
They do a little of both. Built with aerospace-inspired vortex generators on the inner edge, these covers encourage airflow attachment and reduce local turbulence, which is genuine CFD-tested function at the mirror. The effect is subtle, as you would expect from a mirror-sized part. The bigger draw for most owners is the full-wrap carbon look. Calling them purely cosmetic would sell the vortex generators short.
What does full-wrap coverage mean compared to cheaper mirror caps?
Full-wrap means the covers completely conceal the OEM paint for a continuous carbon finish, rather than a partial shell that leaves painted edges showing. That is the difference between an add-on that looks stuck-on and one that looks molded to the car. The style line also mirrors the factory design for an OEM-plus result. Coverage is where a lot of budget caps cut corners.
Can I take these off and put them back on whenever I want?
Not repeatedly, no. Because of the interlocking fitment, these covers are not intended for repeated removal, so plan the install as a commit-once job. They are engineered for a secure, long-term fit rather than frequent swapping. If you want something you can pop on and off, this is not it. Installed once and aligned well, they stay put and look factory.
How are the mirror covers constructed?
Autoclave-cured prepreg over a proprietary kevlar backing, with the resin laid in during production rather than brushed on after. That process beats wet-layup or vacuum infusion on strength for the weight. In practice, the caps are light and durable. It is the same carbon process used across the higher-end UP parts.
Will these mirror caps fit my 2018 Model 3?
No. These covers are made for the 2024+ Model 3 Highland and Performance, and they will not fit the first-generation 2017 to 2023 Model 3. The mirror housings changed with the Highland refresh, and the interlocking fit is shaped for the newer shell. If you have a pre-2024 Model 3, these are not compatible. Confirm your car is a 2024 or newer before ordering.
What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.
What are the shipping options and times?
Unplugged Performance processes orders quickly, typically within 1–2 business days after placement. For U.S. customers, orders under $50 usually ship via FedEx SmartPost with an estimated delivery time of 2–7 business days. Larger items like body kits or bumpers may ship via freight carriers with curbside delivery; customers will be contacted to schedule a delivery window. International shipping is available to most countries, with shipping costs calculated at checkout. Delivery times abroad vary, generally ranging from 5 to 16 business days depending on destination. Import duties or taxes are the customer’s responsibility. To ensure a smooth shipping experience, provide accurate contact information during checkout. For specific questions or shipping quotes, Unplugged Performance’s support team is available to assist.
